Project Proposal:
My proposed project aims to investigate the role think tanks and other private research groups play in crafting poverty alleviation policies in Chile. By carrying out archival research, formal interviews, and participatory immersion in Santiago’s policy research community, I will focus on understanding the stances and ideologies of these institutions and how these characteristics may impact the formation of public policies that affect the lives of the country’s most economically disadvantaged.
