Project Proposal:
I propose to explore how the Weather Research and Forecasting Model Hydrological system (WRF-Hydro) performs in three separate watersheds in Chile – located in the arid north, the densely populated central region, and the humid south. Results of this study are relevant to geographically similar regions of the world such as the Western US where I have previously studied. Beyond my passion for hydrology, I’m ecstatic to utilize Spanish language skills to integrate myself into a new community.
