• Project Proposal:

  I will research the intersectional relationship between public health and medicine by examining changes in the general physician training framework in response to high rates of early childhood obesity in Chile. Increased life expectancy, urbanization, and lifestyle changes have shifted Chile’s epidemiological burden from infectious diseases to non-communicable diseases. Classes taken at the Medical College of Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile will supplement my work.
