• Project Proposal:

  Farmed salmon production is an important economic activity in Chile that contributes significantly to the global aquaculture market. I propose to work with members of the Applied Limnology Laboratory at the Universidad Austral de Chile to scientifically evaluate the impact of wastewater emanating from land-based salmon aquaculture facilities in the Lake Villarrica watershed in southern Chile. I also plan to assist in teaching undergraduate science courses and mentor Chilean students.
