Mary Evans (ECA) and Mason Taylor (Fulbright Chile)

Mary Evans, Fulbright Program Manager in Argentina, Brazil, Canada and Paraguay for the US Department in Latin America was an active participant at the Enhancement Seminar recently held in Reñaca, Chile this august 2018 organized by the Fulbright Commission in Chile. Another 39 representatives from 14 Latin American countries assisted the meeting on “Securing our future through sustainable and inclusive development”.

Before coming to the Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs, Mary worked as a research consultant and as Associate Director for the United Nations Association’s Global Classrooms® Washington, DC Program. She holds a B.A. in English and Spanish from the University of California, Irvine, and an M.A. in Latin American and Hemispheric Studies from the George Washington University. Fluent in Spanish and Portuguese, she also is currently the host of the ECA-produced web series “Washington Circle” for exchange alumni .
