To teach three two-week seminars on Jazz to undergraduate and graduate students was part of his compromise as a Fulbright Specialist 2016. That included Jazz Theory and Improvisation; Jazz Piano Techniques; Jazz Composition and Arranging. He should also present lectures at graduate and undergraduate levels, participate in or lead seminars and workshops and conduct programmatic research. The local Pro Jazz Institution expected him also to provide materials, translated texts and training for host faculty.

He delivered a weekly Master Class and Live Performance demonstrations open to all faculty, students and genera public on Global/Cross Cultural Impact of Music; Maximizing Individual Potential; Secrets of Success and Successful Practice Techniques. Moreover, in August, Texas State University colleague, Dr. Russell Haight, coincided his faculty-led Study Abroad Program with Professor Hehmsoth´s to perform concerts, ensemble rehearsals, and clinics on: How and What to practice in jazz; Scales for Jazz improvisation; Contemporary Concepts in jazz Theory and Developing a Personal Improvisational Style.

The Study Abroad Program is the direct result of the Affiliated Program, the official reciprocal exchange agreement and partnership between Texas State University and Projazz Institute, and illustrates the sustainability over time of the cooperation between schools. Hehmsoth will expand his support and sustain long term contacts and communication with ProJazz students, administration, and faculty to assist with referrals, educational materials, curriculum, publications, research, and employment advice for performers.
